Akshatha (Aks) is the Head of Sustainability at MZA, drawing on two decades of experience in Energy and Sustainability. As a full member of the Institute of Environmental Science (IES) and a multi-accredited professional (BREEAM, WELL, Fitwel), she demonstrates a deep commitment to sustainable practices, including her recent appointment to the IES Climate Action Steering Group. Aks is dedicated to integrating sustainable practices into MZA’s project portfolio.
Her academic credentials, including a Master’s in Ecology and Management from the University of Edinburgh and specialised training in Sustainable Finance from the Cambridge Institute of Sustainable Leadership, underpin her strategic vision.
Aks has delivered impactful sustainability strategies for landmark projects, including HS2 and significant government contracts for the Ministry of Justice & Ministry of Defence, with her sustainability projects earning multiple BREEAM award nominations.
Recognised for her expertise, she has been a guest speaker on industry podcasts and at educational institutions such as the prestigious Harrow Boys School in London. Her insights on health and wellbeing were featured in Raconteur Magazine. Beyond her project leadership, she actively contributes as a STEM Ambassador and engages in community service, notably with the Children’s Society.
