MZA was appointed by City and Docklands for the MEP design to the end of RIBA Stage 2 for planning submission on the development, with planning permission being granted in 2016.
Portal West comprises four blocks, rising between 9 and 42 storeys, set around communal courtyard gardens with new pedestrian routes and well-designed public open space. Providing 578 residential units and over 3,000sqmt of commercial floor space, the scheme utilises a refined palette of high quality contemporary materials with crisp detailing and articulated facades.
