MZA Acoustics provided the detailed design acoustic consultancy services for the scheme, which has created a vibrant and attractive waterfront for the town.

The acoustic challenges were the control of internal acoustics due to the presence of hard reflective surfaces (tiled finishes, glass walls, water surface etc) using treatments that can withstand the high humidity and corrosive nature of the chlorine.

In addition, due to the rural location, ambient noise levels at night reduce significantly, requiring that any plant which operates through the night had to be acoustically treated so as not to cause disturbance to local residents.
