The refurbishment and extension of the existing gym at the London offices of a global investment bank. The gym previously occupied part of the basement, over 2 floors, and was extended and refurbished whilst the building remained fully operational.
Following an initial site survey to establish the condition and layout of the existing plant, MZA undertook an options review in collaboration with the architect, producing a set of highly visual documents which enabled the client to make an informed decision. The detailed design phase of the project included delivery of MEP services to RIBA stage 4a with a traditional tender procurement. The stage 4a design included complex coordination drawings due to the existing services and low floor-to-ceiling heights.
The project was successfully completed and handed over in December 2018.
